Troubleshooting Method 1 – 2.4G Wi-Fi Compatibility
PUMPKII works with 2.4G Wi-Fi only. Connect to the 2.4G network if your router shows both 2.4G and 5G IDs. For dual-band routers, ensure 2.4GHz and 5GHz are split into separate SSIDs and connect to the 2.4GHz network. Contact your router or ISP for additional support.
Troubleshooting Method 2 – Restore Factory Settings
To reconnect the PUMPKII Pet Camera, hold the bottom switch for 10 seconds until you hear ‘Restore factory settings, do not power off’. You can then reconnect the device.

Ensure the PumPlus app has access to Local Network and Camera, and enable Wireless Data for WLAN and Cellular. If options are missing, update iOS or reset network settings via Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If issues persist, adjust your phone’s DNS to Google’s 8.8.8.8:
1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Tap the connected network.
3. Select Configure DNS > Manual.
4. Enter 8.8.8.8 and tap Save.
More Troubleshooting Tips
1. Log Out and In: Ensure the app is updated, then log out and back in.
2. Place the device near the router during initial setup.
3. Uninstall antivirus apps with VPN features like McAfee; VPN off won’t fix the issue. Try downloading the app on another phone, iPad, or tablet to troubleshoot the problem.
4. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data to determine if it’s a network issue.
